In honour of the great Russian writer Fyodor Dostoyevsky in his 200th anniversary, the Luxor African Film Festival sees this writer as someone who is considered a milestone in the history of world literature. He is an example of how the soul can sail and embark on new journeys, through his writings which transcended the borders of Russia to the whole world. Dostoevsky's work is distinguished by being able to keep up with the rapid changes in the feelings, emotions, and ambitions of the human soul. This soul can be anyone, that is why his work is enjoyed and well-read by human beings of all races, languages, and backgrounds.
